Subsistence Farming to Economic Diversity From the 18 th to 19 th centuries the Scots became Increasingly economically diversified and began to make many contributions to Canada.

Contributions Abound Decades after arriving, the Scots began to flourish in Canada Their presence was felt in all areas of society

Church & School Scots = Quite Religious Brought their religion with them Roman Catholic, Presbyterian, Baptist, Anglican & Methodist Scots valued education – many church-run schools emerged Name some schools with Scottish roots
