Hebrews 13 Sex

Heb. 13:4 Lessons: 1.Understanding God’s view of sexuality. 2.Invest the time & effort to create a good marriage yourself. 3.Prioritize marriage in your own life and in the life of others. Hebrews 13:4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the marriage bed be undefiled; for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.

Alternative Views of Sexuality  Naturalism: Sexuality as Mating. The “Naked Ape”. Morality is only a social contract, or a primitive instinct...  Post-Modern: Sex as a Mystical Force. An unpredictable “force”. A personal preference, orientation.

The Biblical View of Sexuality: Matthew 19:3-6 And some Pharisees came to Him, testing Him, and saying, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause at all?" And He answered and said, "Have you not read, that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH'? Consequently they are no longer two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate." 1. Sexuality is built into our design. 2. A Unity of Relationship. 3. A Permanence of Relationship.

Psalm 128:1-3 How blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, Who walks in His ways… Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine, Within your house, Your children like olive plants Around your table.

Co-Habitation Success Rate

1 Tim. 5:8 “But if anyone does not provide for his own, and especially for those of his household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.”

1 Cor. 6:18-19 “Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own?”

Ephes. 5:22-25 Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her;
