5. VALVES – CASH COLLECTION 2008-09 Rs Crores * Highest ever collection on despatches surpassing earlier years.

6. Marketing :-  Order receipt of Rs. 709 Crores has been achieved against RE: Rs. 621 Crores, which is 32% higher than the order receipt of Rs. 539 Crores in 2007-08.  Order worth of Rs. 88 Crores received for OFE, out of which Rs. 76 Crores from M/s ONGC against new three year RC for Well heads & X- mas trees.  Rate Contract with M/s.Daleel Petroleum, Oman extended with 10% increase. Orders worth Rs 400 Lakhs received for 36 sets of Well Heads & X- mas Trees. M/s Daleel to extend the rate contract for another year.  All time high order receipt of 20 Crores for Soot Blowers from Various Customers. MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS :: 2008-09

7. Engineering:-  In-house developed Severe Service Control Valve for RH Spray line installed at Mettur TPS and field Performance Certificate obtained.  Presentation made to KPCL at Raichur site for installation of SH/RH Control valves in Unit 8, 250MW. KPCL have accepted our proposal.  Angle Drain Valve scope supply changed to BHEL Trichy from BHEL Hardwar. For all current and future 250/500/600MW ADV will be from BHEL Trichy.  Design Developed for 15 New types of valves for 660/800MW. Sub-Contracting:-  Full Scope completion of Body Assembly-32” Class 600 CRHNRV established.  HP Bypass Valve ( ARS-100) Nozzle welding & profile machining established. MM:-  Additional source developed for High torque Actuators to increase the competitiveness and cost cutting  For the first time, seven reverse auctions were conducted for the procurement of Bar Stocks which resulted in a saving of Rs. 130 Lakhs..

MAJOR HIGHLIGHTS :: 2008-09 Inventory control:-  System lock introduced to prevent indent generation in ERP systems for materials for deliveries beyond one year.  Achieved Inventory level of 122 days, as per RE. Shop:-  Manufactured F 91 body material HP by pass valve ( ARS 140 D ) for 500 MW application. Same design will be used for 800 MW applications.  Multi stage angle drain valve, successfully manufactured and supplied to various 120 MW Projects - Import substitution.  4500# forged steel globe valves succesfully manufactured and supplied to our R & D project. This is the highest rating conventional valves in our manufacturing range.
