2 When was it developed?  Nylon was developed on February 28, 1935 by Dr. Wallace Carothers & his colleagues.

3 How was nylon developed?  Nylon is made from two chemical compounds, Hexamethylenediamine and Adipic Acid.  Each substance contains 6 carbons.  The two compounds are combined to form Nylon salt.  The nylon salt is heated and water is removed and the small molecules combine to form large molecules. This is called Polymerization.

4 How is Nylon used everyday?  Nylon is used for the following:  Carpets  Clothing  Luggage bags  Automobile parts

5 More info and facts about nylon.  Nylon is not just a plastic, it also can be made into fabrics and clothing  Its melting point is 374 degrees F.
