Coleto Creek James Fannin surrendered his 300 men at the Battle of Coleto Creek The Texans fought the Mexicans but Fannin surrendered to prevent more deaths The Texans were marched to Goliad and executed on March 27 1836

Battle of San Jacinto April 26 1836 Shortest battle in history – Lasted 18 minutes Sam Houston led the Texans-800 men Santa Anna led the Mexicans-1300 men Sam Houston burned every way out of San Jacinto Santa Anna was captured and surrendered to Sam Houston

Treaties of Velasco May 14 1836 Two treaties signed – One made public, the other was secret Publically-Santa Anna promised to never fight against Texans and move Mexican forces out of Texas Secretly-Santa Anna worked for Texas independence and set the Texas/Mexico border at the Rio Grande
