6.  Encouragement: Programs to challenge students & encourage more walking & biking.  Education: Instruction for student pedestrian & bicycle safety lessons  Enforcement: Not funded, but law enforcement should be SRTS partners to do selective enforcement & education  Evaluation: Not funded but required at the application & implementation stages to track progress

7.  238 applications programmed  Over $68 million programmed  1100+ schools participated with some sort of program  Walking increased by 41%(from 11.4% to 16%)
