Article One: Congress House of Representatives You must be 25 years old. You must be a citizen of the United States for a minimum of seven years. You must be a resident of the state you are elected in. Elections are held every two years. Qualifications and Elections

Article One: Congress House of Representatives Impose and collect taxes and duties Borrow money Regulate commerce with foreign nations and among the states Coin money Establish post offices Declare war Raise and support an army and a navy Responsibilities

Article One: Congress Senate You must be 30 years of age. You must be a citizen of the United States for a minimum of years. You must be a resident of the state you are elected in. Elections are held every six years. Qualifications and Elections

Responsibilities Power to try all Impeachments They can choose the other officers When the president of the United states is tried, the Chief Justice shall preside Article One: Congress Senate

Article Two: Executive/President You must be 35 years of age You must be a citizen of the United states for a minimum of 14 years. You must be a natural born citizen. Elections are held every four years. Qualifications and Elections

Responsibilities Carry out and enforce laws made by Congress Make treaties with foreign nations Appoint certain important officials Act as Commander-In-Chief of the armed forces Veto laws passed by Congress Article Two: Executive/President

Article Three: Judicial/Supreme Courts You must serve for life, or until you retire. You will be appointed, not elected, so that you can stay out of politics. You can only leave by being impeached—if you are convicted of Treason, Bribery, or other high crimes. There is one Supreme Court with two types of jurisdiction— appellate and original. Amendment One Congress shall make no law against the freedom of religion.

Amendment Five You have the right to not testify against yourself. You can not be tried twice for the same thing.

Amendment Fourteen You are guaranteed citizenship and equal protection under the law. Defines Citizenship
