5. Bylaws – DRAFT - Proposal Draft “Proposals for amendments to these by-laws may be made by any Faculty member at a Faculty meeting. They shall then be distributed to the Faculty by the Secretary within ten days after the meeting.” This presentation is to get your feedback ahead of the final presentation in May.

Separation of Bylaws and Standing Rules Currently – bylaws have everything including operating procedures Change to: – Bylaws (full vote of Membership) Membership Voting Officers Standing Committees Consultation – Standing Rules (changed by Executive Committee with Membership having veto power) Committee composition Procedures Guidelines

10. Consultation Still working on this but: “In all matters affecting the academic mission the Membership of Academic Governance must be consulted. Consultation refers to a mutual, publicly shared governance process of deliberation between the President and/or their official designee(s) and the Membership.”
