The Preamble WE THE PEOPLE of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

3. All the citizens of the United States

4. in order to form a more perfect Union,

5. To come together and make things better for everyone who lives in our country

6. Establish Justice

7. To make things fair for all people

8. insure domestic Tranquility,

9. To make sure we can all have a good life and get along with one another

10. Provide for the common defense,

11. To provide protection to everyone

12. Promote general welfare,

13. To make life good for everybody by providing food, shelter, and safety

14. And secure the blessings of Liberty

15. To protect our rights and freedoms and not let anyone take them away

16. To ourselves and our posterity,

17. For ourselves and all our children and their children and every generation to come

18. Do ordain and establish this Constitution

19. To approve of and begin to follow

20. For the United States of America.
