Methodology To establish different work areas To update the different data concerning units in Auroville To do a field survey (Interviews) To find means to exploit the answers

The questionnaire Did you have a lack of human resources? Have you worked before with volunteers in the past? How many volunteers have you received in last years? Were you satisfied by their contributions? Could you define your needs for basic tasks and specific projects? What kind of specific skills are you most needed? Who is the mentor? How many volunteers could you host at a given time? What support could you offer to volunteers?

Estimate the hosting capacity of Auroville On average: 4 volunteers per unit/year (basic tasks + specific projects needs) Estimate: 140 units could be available to host volunteers Extrapolation: Auroville could host 550 volunteers per year

Some recommendations To create an accommodation infrastructure To cooperate further AVIS-Guest Service with the aim of integrating volunteers & working guests in the community To define a clear policy for students and working volunteers, Set up the details of an economic & ethic frame work (rights & services, with rules of the games ), insisting of the quality of experience offered To further the study of units needs
