Functions of the Strategy Department To ensure implementation of planning functions of the Ministry as the EU Funds Managing Authority for the 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 programming period; To ensure implementation of the functions of the Deputy State Secretary as the Head of the Managing Authority. 4

Functions of the EU Funds Monitoring Department To ensure implementation of monitoring functions of the Ministry as the EU Funds Managing Authority for the 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 programming period; To provide for improvement and maintenance of the management information system of the EU Funds. 5

6. Functions of the EU Funds Management System Department To ensure implementation of Structural Funds management support functions of the Ministry as the EU Funds Managing Authority for the 2004- 2006 and 2007-2013 programming period; -Monitoring of the audits of EU Funds management and control system; -Updating the description of the EU Funds management and control system; -Elaborating draft legislative acts; -Providing for information and publicity events for the EU Funds; -Record-keeping. To ensure implementation of the functions as the authority managing the Technical Assistance. 6
