8. Shell Beach Shell Beach is the second tide pool on our list, and is located in La Jolla. This tide pool is created from powerful waves, so it is best to come view the sea creatures when the tide is low. It is a great place to find shells and sea lions! 9. Tourmaline Surfing Park Tourmaline Surfing Park is the third tide pool on our list, and is located in San Diego. This tide pool is created by steep cliffs, and it is a great place to go surfing. 10. Ocean Beach Ocean Beach is the fourth tide pool on our list, and is located in San Diego. This tide pool is surrounded by lots of sand, and has a big dog park.
