REFRIGERANT RECOVERY Connect recycler to vehicle service ports Set machine to recover If recovery equipment does not automatically shut off- recover until system drops into slight vacuum Shut off valves and observe pressures for 5 minutes If pressure increases-repeat recovery 8

EVACUATION Drain and measure system oil recovered in recycler Evacuate system after leak check has been performed If system has been exposed to moisture: Evacuate until: 500 microns 29.2 in. 20-30 mins. minimum Add amount of oil removed 10
11
RECHARGE Determine system capacity Recharge system If recycler cannot fully charge system (temp or pressure too high): Shut off both manifold valves Start engine and turn on A/C max Open doors/windows Charge remainder of refrigerant through low side port without allowing pressure to exceed 50 psi Close both valves and complete performance check Disconnect hoses from vehicle 11

THE BUBBLES IN A SIGHT GLASS WILL DISAPPEAR AT A POINT LOWER THAN THE PROPER CHARGE AMOUNT. HIGH-SIDE PRESSURE WILL INCREASE AT A POINT THAT THE SYSTEM IS ALREADY OVERCHARGED. (COURTESY OF TOYOTA MOTOR SALES USA, INC.) 12
