2 www.Build-It-Yourself.com Mission The Problem The Mission “I invented the Internet.” presidential candidate Double-talking politicians are mucking up the works. It's our duty to rescue the world from these nit wits! Design, build and manage a robot to run in a campaign for President of The Universe. Think about the interests of the citizens. What could your robot do that would win their votes.

3 www.Build-It-Yourself.com Goals At the end of this mission, robot candidates will run on an obstacle course that simulates a presidential campaign trail. Your robot may earn votes for: A good campaign slogan. Making noise. Standing tall. Raising money (or collecting candy). A campaign speech (recorded in Scratch and triggered by moving a mouse).

4 www.Build-It-Yourself.com Modules Modular construction is BIG! Break your solution into simple motion, sensor and structural modules. You may find instructions for useful modules in Build-It-Blocks.

5 www.Build-It-Yourself.com The Plan 1.Plan and design. 2.Build modules. 3.Build obstacles. 4.Integrate and test your solution. 5.Document results. 6.Present your project to the world. There’s a lot to do! If we don’t work together, our solution may fail.
