Ego-Tripping What does the speaker say she is responsible for in the first 3 lines? How is this hyperbole? What allusions do you see? What do we know about the speaker? How does the title effect the meaning of the poem?

Write a hyperbolic poem about yourself Use hyperbole to exaggerate your talents or powers or influence Use free verse Include allusions Don’t be afraid to be humorous!

Example: I am teacher of all great things. I taught the snake to slither. I taught the ocean to wave. Eminem came to Me to learn to rap. My students are so well trained, they write poems better than Nikki Giovanni. They do ALL my homework. My students will write the best poems, because I am the greatest teacher.
