1 EU projects Four Marie Curie Networks being prepared with relevance for CLIC: – Structures and modules (lead: Helsinki) – RF power sources (lead: Lancaster) – Alignment, stability with related components (lead: CERN) – Microelectronics design (65 nm technology) for pixel detectors (lead: CERN) Deadline 22.11 EUCARD 2 starting in May TIARA and EUCARD on-going Several ERC and Syn-energy grants proposals are being considered Deadline end November/January for advanced grants/syn-energy 1

2 Collaborators: In preparation: The Hebrew University-Jerusalem (Israel-new), Tartu (Estonia-new), Alba (Spain), KVI Groeningen (the Netherlands), Sandia National Lab (US), METAS (Switzerland) Under discussion: Vinca Institute Belgrade (Serbia) <= machine or detectors or both ? Important renewal: SLAC Selected agreements: CEA, Uppsala, Dubna, Ankara (brief oral update for each) 2
