2. 2016 STEWARDSHIP Our 2016 focus is on living our lives as good Stewards with our Time, Talents and Treasures

3. STEWARDSHIP Stewardship is a way if life. It is how we conduct ourselves on a daily basis, living to honor God with the hope of Salvation in His Kingdom.  14 What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? 15 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. 19 You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder. James 2: 14-19

STEWARDSHIP AS A WAY OF LIFE IS…  Seeking the honor of God  Taking up your cross and following Jesus  Looking at everything from God’s point of view and not public opinion  Making decisions based on the Heavenly and not the earthly  Living, praying and worshipping as a member of the Body of Christ

WITH THIS COMES RESPONSIBILITY Stewardship is…  An equal giving of our Time, Talents and Treasures  Time – limited to 24 hours each day – are we living to make the most of it – what if it were our last day?  Talents – the unique characteristics that God has blessed you with – how are you using them?  Treasures – giving of your self, your belongings or your financial resources – God loves a cheerful giver!

6. STEWARDSHIP MUST BE  Spiritually based  A balance of Time, Talents and Treasures  From the heart  Must be done positively  A focus as it is how you will be judged by God

7. WHAT YOU CAN DO!  Complete your 2016 Stewardship Commitment Card  Volunteer your Time & Talents  Create/support a Stewardship committee  Develop parish goals with the Priest and Parish Council  Attend a Stewardship seminar  Participate in a Ministry Sunday  Read articles and books about Stewardship  Visit http://mychristmycare.wordpress.com  Visit Pan Orthodox web sites for additional information
