Scholarship Essays First Iteration Switch essays with your partner Read the essay Revise the essay by providing written feedback in the margins: Make sure the metaphor makes logical sense. Make sure the claims take the extended metaphor and divide it into smaller parts. Make sure the evidence is specific is who, what, where, and when. Make sure commentary explains how the evidence proves the claim. Make sure introduction and conclusion do their jobs. Edit the essay for grammatical mistakes: Sentence fragments or run-ons. Spelling errors.
