2 MRTE is the “Mutual Research Transcript Exchange” – a SQL server database with de- identified unit record information for all public institutions of higher education in Washington State. The source of MRTE’s records are the SBCTC data warehouse for the public 2-yr information and PCHEES for the university records 2

3 3 Create the MRTE database through probability matching and collaboration with ERDC Set up user interface via the VPN connection State Board Data Services Utilize MRTE data as the primary source of transfer policy research Communicate with college researchers regarding state board reports State Board Researchers Utilize MRTE for college transfer research purposes Provide feedback to state board on state level reports and use of university data within analysis College Researchers
