As judge on clouds of light, He soon will come again, And His true members will unite With Him in heaven to reign. 4 of 5
8
All glory to the Son, Who comes to set us free, With Father, Spirit, ever one, Through all eternity. 5 of 5

11
P: Lord Jesus, you are the light of the world. John the Baptist preached that people should repent and get ready for you to come. Come into our hearts, and help us to welcome you. Amen.

The Lord be with you And also with you. Let us pray.
14
PRAYER OF THE DAY Merciful God, you sent your messengers to preach repentance and prepare the way for our salvation. Turn us away from our sins, so that we greet our coming redeemer, Jesus Christ, with joy. For he lives with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

The Gospel according to… Mark 1:1-8 Mark 1:1-8 John the Baptist John the Baptist prepares the way
18
The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, his only son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried.
19
He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God, the Father almighty, from thence he will come to judge the living and the dead.
20
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

THE POWER OF YOUR Version 2

JOHN 1:1 - 14 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4 In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
32
JOHN 1:1 - 14 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.
33
JOHN 1:1 - 14 9 The true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him.11 He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. 12 Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.
34
JOHN 1:1 - 14 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Mine eyes have seen the glory Of the coming of the Lord He is trampling out the vintage Where the grapes of wrath are stored He has loosed the fateful lightning Of His terrible swift sword His truth is marching on
91
Glory glory hallelujah His truth is marching on

He has sounded forth the trumpet That shall never call retreat He is sifting out the hearts of men Before His judgment seat O be swift my soul to answer Him Be jubilant my feet Our God is marching on
93
Glory glory hallelujah Our God is marching on
94
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea With a glory in His bosom That transfigures you and me As He died to make men holy Let us live to make men free While God is marching on
95
Glory glory hallelujah Our God is marching on
96
He is coming like the glory of the morning on the wave, He is wisdom to the mighty, He is honour to the brave; So the world shall be His footstool, and the soul of time His slave, Our God is marching on.
