lineslines? parallel converging diagonal perpendicular
3
These lines are parallel. That means they are the same distance apart at all points So that means train tracks are parallel otherwise the train would fall off
4
So, now we are looking at diagonal lines I know what that is. It is when a line goes across a shape from one corner to the opposite corner.
5
Now we are going to look at perpendicular lines. I have never heard of that word. What does it mean? It’s when an upright straight line meets another straight line and makes a right angle I am a perpendicular line So am I.
6
Now we are going to look at lines which converge I know, that is when two lines move towards the same point Yes, that’s right so lines which converge wouldn’t be any good for railway lines Oh, I love you. Go away!
7
Can you match the right words to the right lines? I can, I can. Let me do it. It’s not your turn. You must be quiet. Doh! perpendicularconvergeparallel diagonal Now match the orange words to the lines.
