What is a Teacher Vista? A Teacher Vista may be a variety of submissions by educators Teacher Vistas currently include lesson plans, in-service training, and interviews Educators are encouraged to submit material that will benefit students in the collaborative classroom

Submitting a Teacher Vista To submit a Vista – eMail: (deanna@powerof2.org)deanna@powerof2.org Teacher Vistas must Include: – Lesson Plans, In-Service, or Interview – Introduction – Picture – Permission Forms Permission Forms – Contractual Services Form Contractual Services Form

Criteria for a Teacher Vista Reflect current research – Include Citations Utilize best practices in teaching Include ideas for modifications and accommodations Provide ideas to promote collaboration in the classroom Inclusive Practices

Practical Applications – Professors Assign the Best Practices Learning Module and require each student to create or revise a lesson based on these practices Complete the Checklist of Accommodations and assign each student to create a lesson with two accommodations and two modifications Teachers may create a lesson designed for co- teaching and select a Presentation Strategy – Team Teaching, Supportive Learning Activities or Complementary Instruction Assign a Teacher Vista submission as a course requirement and let students create material to submit

Practical Applications – Staff Development/Teachers Use Teacher Vistas to encourage staff development Encourage collaborative practices by submitting your own Teacher Vista Apply supplied lesson plans in your own collaborative classroom

Personal Benefits $100 Honorarium if submission is published Color copy of submission distributed to yourself and selected district personnel A publication to add to your vita
