Introduction Motivation –Mobile device 의 특성 location, environment, connectivity (unpredictible) –Dynamic factors –Design, evaluation of desktop vs mobile device. ex) metaphor, Trade off ( increasing textsize decreasing information on sigle screen) Context –presumed to be a set of conditions or user states that influence the ways in which a human interacts with a mobile computing device –Brewster “ A more realistic environment can significantly change the interaction and this must be taken into account when designing and testing mobile devices” –Factor : Noise, lighting, stress, weather, task
3
methodology In this study, three specific contextual factor (task type, motion, and lighting level) were manipulated in order to determine their relative effect on performance of mobile device users. The goal is to establish a foundation by which the effect of context can begin to be more clearly understood. One hundred twenty-six participants a mean age of 21.8 Sitting group Walking group

Study objectives Experimental tasks and conditions Walking group Task : (1) Reading Comprehension (2) Word Search. Scenario : (1) Reading Comprehension + High-Light; (2) Reading Comprehension + Low-Light; (3) Word Search + High-Light; and (4) Word Search + Low- Light. Each scenario consisted of ten trials. Sitting group High Light : 260lux Low Light : 85lux methodology

Hypothesis 1 For the Reading Comprehension task, the effect of motion will yield strongly significant differences for all experimental measures. Hypothesis 2 For the Reading Comprehension task, the effect of changes in lighting will yield significant differences for all experimental measures. Hypothesis 3 For the Word Search task, the effect of motion will yield strongly significant differences for all experimental measures. Hypothesis 4 For the Word Search task, the effect of changes in lighting will yield significant differences for all experimental measures. methodology
