Your Task: Colour code your Base map as follows: River/waterLight Blue Central Business DistrictPurple IndustryBrown Old/terraced housingYellow Inter war/semi detachedOrange Modern/detachedRed Use the Ordnance Survey Map or Computer to search the areas of Southampton shown on your base map. Identify the MAIN land use in each area:

Reflection: Which land use model is Southampton most similar to? Write a few sentences explaining (with evidence from your map) how closely Southampton resembles the urban land use models. Do you think land use models are useful?
