Objective Model and compare integers and rational numbers

Linguistic Go over the verbal explanation of the concept such as the following: Integers are the class of numbers that are like Natural numbers, but Integers include the set of negative numbers and zero. Rational numbers are numbers that are written in the form of a/b All Integers can be written as Rational numbers, but not all Rational numbers are Integers. Examples:

Spatial Go over visual examples of the concept such as below:

Bodily-Kinesthetic Give students papers with numbers and math symbols on them and then have the students model equations like 3=3/1 or 2/3=4/6 using the signs in the front of the room.

Logical-Mathematical/Interpersonal Have the students get into groups and work on a worksheet that reviews the concept and has the students go through problems. The students then review the answers with other groups in the room.

Intrapersonal Have students draw a picture the represents what they feel the concept means to them and how they visualize it.

Naturalist Give the class word problems that involve plants, animals, and other economical concepts.
