2 Instructional Assessment In the assessment, students will receive a 30 minute training on the usage of the symbols through a Camtasia video. This will provide the students with the knowledge needed to correctly use the symbols in a two paragraph reading passage. The informal assessment is where the teacher goes around the room and monitors making sure the students apply the symbols correctly. The formal assessment will be done through the use of a power point where the students will answer 10 multiple choice questions which will include 7 different symbols. The students will appropriately apply the symbols to the passage to comprehend it and pass a five- question assessment about the passage. The passing score will be 4 out of 5 questions.

3 Instructional Package Outline I.Materials:  Computer, Internet Access, Paper-based copy of symbols.  Access to Camtasia training video II.Mastery of Material:  Student will have access to online training and assessment through the use of any computer with internet access. Student will be able to review online training video if any material is need for re-enforcement as it will aide the students with the re-collection of the symbol usage for reading comprehension success.

Training and assessment will be delivered via internet training video. IV.Interactivity of Materials:  Online Camtasia training video.

5 Instructional Package cont.. Outline V.Assessment  The informal assessment will consist of students using the knowledge of symbols in a reading passage while being monitored by the teacher. Paper and pencil will be used in this section.  The formative assessment starts with a PowerPoint attachment that gives students 10 questions with the use of seven symbols. Students will use pencil and paper to answer multiple choice questions based on the knowledge and understanding of symbols.  The last formative assessment the student will be instructed to read a passage and answer five questions based on the use of symbols and comprehension. Student must answer four out of the five questions correctly aiming for 80 percent mastery on content.
