Co.Slide 5 Long Distance Use cases in Industrial Process Automation In pipeline monitoring or oil/gas upstream monitoring application, distance between AP/STA will be large (~2km). –Rural (open air) environment AP/STA’s will be deployed carefully as following. –Place at LOS position each other –If necessary, use high gain antenna Distance: ~2km Distance between each well: ~2km Case 1d; pipeline monitoringCase 2a&2b; Oil/gas upstream monitoring <10 Sensors/well Hundreds of well are scattered in desert, or on the sea

Some exceptional cases (see Slide.5), distance up to 2km is required. –Rural (open air) environment Path loss is much smaller than urban/sub urban area
