Dermoid cyst is clinically and biologically benign Results from a developmental malformation with the defect of gastrulation affecting the surface of ectoderm and secondary disruption of neural tube closure Contains elements of dermis, such as hair and hair follicles and apocrine, sebaceous or sweat glands.

Intracranial dermoids are rare congenital lesions that account for 0.04-0.6% of all intracranial tumors When they are intradural they tend to be midline

We considered the case of a 48 years old, male pacient(M.I) He was admitted to Emergency Clinical Hospital Bagdasar-Arseni, nsIV for intracranial hypertension syndrome with headaches, nausea and vomiting Other clinical and neurological examination were in normal limits without epileptic seizuires MRI, CT results

According to histopathologic examination the tumor was a mature didermic teratoma- dermoid cyst It showed stratified squamous epithelium and abundant sebaceous glands, characteristic features of dermoid tumors
