Represents our Idolatry – “Worship God only.”

Represents our presumption –
“You shall not put the Lord, your God to the test.”

4. Where have we seen the NUMBER FORTY?
“I told you a thousand times not to…”
“This thing must weight a ton…”
“I wouldn’t do that if you gave me a million dollars…”

5. Examples: Flood lasted 40 days Israel in the desert 40 years
Moses on Mt. Sinai 40 days
Jesus fasted forty days
The number 40 represents a significant number of days or years to make a point.
