3 3 Workgroup Charges Broad Charge –To bring forward “real-world” implementation experience into the HIT Standards Committee recommendations –Special emphasis on strategies to accelerate the adoption of proposed standards, or mitigate barriers, if any

4 4 Workgroup Charges Specific Charge –Benchmark adoption rates for proposed standards across diverse settings –Solicit public input on what stakeholders need to lower the barriers to standards adoption –Evaluate the degree to which proposed standards achieve policy objectives –Establish an ongoing process to gather public input to inform future standards development, revisions to existing standards, or guidance on tools to minimize the cost of adoption
