1 Meeting Date: January 15, 2014

2 In a major league baseball game, a pitcher faced only 27 batters. Every batter he faced, he struck out. He allowed no hits and no runs, yet his team lost 4-0. How could this be?

3 February 16: You will need to wear khakis and polo shirt to school. We could have a special visitor to come and visit the school. The first week of March is Read Across America. You will be signed up to read to a class in the school. Go ahead and get a picture book that you enjoy and PRACTICE! I will give you times and classrooms at the next meeting. Airwalk won’t be on March 14 because of HCHS Beauty Walk. We will reschedule and let you know date ASAP.

5 Must maintain an 85 or better in each subject Must maintain at least 85% of the AR requirement each 3 week goal mark 6 th grade: 34 points 5 th grade: 31 points 4 th grade: 28 points Participation in a group sponsored by MES Honor Club. Students can sign up for one group: Letters to a Soldier: Do once a month Nursing Home Visitors: Go once a month after school Big Bro/Big Sis: Do at least once a week during school Homework Assistance: Do once a month Membership cost $25 per year.

6 You, as a member of MES Honor Club, are required to attend ALL night time events at MES. Your Honor Club polo shirt must be worn to any extra activities on and off campus as well as any night time activities.

7 You will sign up for one of the following committees to help you fulfill your community service hours. Once you sign up, you can’t change! These committees will meet after school so BE PREPARED! Write a SoldierStay after school first Tuesday of month Nursing HomeStay to go second Wednesday of month Homework AssistanceStay 1 Monday a month to help with After School Big Brother/Big SisterVisit during school and help if needed. Meet on first Wednesday of every month at 2 pm.

8 Student Committee: Zola Rose, John Caleb Barnes, Bradley Walker, Isaac Vaughn, Caden Cramer, Safwan Alhaidmi, TreNeice Frank, Jordian Tinker, Aleice Stevens Letters Due: First Tuesday of every month. Place in Ms. Roberts teacher box located next to office.

9 Student Committee: Azariyah Scott, Ryane Channell, Robert Green, Faith McDaniel, Hudsyn Mills, Alyssa McMurry, Dax Fry, Amelia Epperson, Haley Hoggle, Abby Hoggle, Luke Johnson, Jackson Jett, Tyler Hallman Walk to Nursing Home the second Wednesday of every month. For February, you will need to make a Valentine Card to take to a resident and be prepared to sit and chat. Parents will need to pick you up by 4:30 pm.

10 Student Committee: Baylee Cameron, Kayli Tucker, Kaci Mitchell, Stenson McCray, Jacob Jett, River Sabbagh, Cade Austin, Ryland Sabbagh, Smith Garner, Natalie Hill, Courtney Ellis, Olivia Jones, Savannah Parr, Analyce Moore, Allaisya Mitchell, Kori Young, Lily Lafoy, Connor Reilly Get with Mrs. Martin and arrange to stay one Monday each month to help with homework. You can be picked up by parents by 4:45 pm.

You will then turn a sheet to Ms. Roberts teacher box telling exactly what you and that child did together.
