2. AIM:
To make a rainbow from a light source and triangle, semi-circle and moon shaped glass shapes

3. HYPOTHESIS/PREDICTION:
The light from a light source might go through a glass triangle and all the sides or base will refract and make a rainbow. (Question) To make a rainbow from a light source & glass shapes.

4. MATERIALS:
Light box
Glass triangle, semi-circle and moon shaped glass (multiple if needed).

5. METHOD: First put on the light box on Grab the glass shaped triangle
Put the glass triangle down so that the tip of the triangle is facing the light

6. OBSERVATION: triangular

7. DISCUSSION:
In our experiment we found out the human eye can only see a few colours. We can’t see radio waves, microwave waves, infrared waves, ultraviolet waves, x-ray waves and gamma waves. In the middle is visible light to the human eye. When all the colours come together it makes a white light. The white light is the light coming out of the light box and when it hits the triangular prism it all slows down at different speeds because some colours are faster than others and split up, and change direction and makes a rainbow. You can see this in our experiment when the light goes into the triangle and makes a rainbow.
We used tried to use semi circle and the moon shaped glass but it didn’t work but the triangular prism did work.

8. CONCLUSION:
When we conducted this experiment our hypothesis was confirmed because the white light went through the triangular prism because it went through the prism correctly and the white light split up to make a rainbow. We found that white light travels through prisms at different speeds to split the white light into the colours of the rainbow. To follow up we might add stuff to the experiment and take away unneeded bits.
