FLORIDA’S CLEAN CITIES COALITIONS National Clean Cities Program Clean Cities advances the energy, economic, and environmental security of the United States by supporting local actions to reduce petroleum use in transportation It is the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) flagship alternative-transportation deployment initiative, sponsored by the Vehicle Technologies Program. Clean Cities has saved more than 5 billion gallons of petroleum since its inception in 1993

FLORIDA’S CLEAN CITIES COALITIONS National Clean Cities Program Nearly 100 coalitions with 20,000 stakeholders across U.S. Has distributed $377 million to fund more than 500 transportation projects nationwide, which have leveraged more than $740 million in matching funds With MotorWeek, has helped produce nearly100 national TV segments on transportation success stories Biodiesel, Ethanol, Electric Drive (EVs, PHEVs, HEVs), Propane, Natural Gas, & Fuel Conservation

FLORIDA’S CLEAN CITIES COALITIONS Natural Gas Fuel Fleet Vehicle Rebate Provides eligible applicants a rebate for the cost of conversion or the incremental cost incurred by an applicant in connection with the conversion, purchase, or lease for a minimum term of 5 years, of a natural gas fleet vehicle placed into service on or after July 1, 2013. The maximum rebate under this program is $25,000 per purchased/leased or converted vehicle, not to exceed 50 percent of eligible costs. FLORIDA’S CLEAN CITIES COALITIONS Program Information $6 million per year, for 5 years –Funding is based on legislative allocation The allocation is split into two pots –60% ($3.6M) of the funds are reserved for commercial applicants –40% ($2.4M) are reserved for governmental applicants Rebates distributed on a first come, first served basis –Applications were accepted beginning January 7, 2014 Economic data collected with each application –Data will be included in a report due to the Governor and Legislature on October 1 st of each year of the program

FLORIDA’S CLEAN CITIES COALITIONS Biofuel Infrastructure Partnership USDA will award competitive grants, matched by states, to expand the infrastructure for distribution of higher blends of ethanol. Florida allocation leads the rest of the country with an estimated 892 new pumps, out of a total of 4880 (18 percent of the total award).
