3. Second conditional= used to talk about things which are not true in the present If (past) + would/ could/ might If you lived in this city, you could have a lot of jobs opportunities. If I were you, I would get a skull on my left arm. If Daniel were 18, he would get a tattoo.

4. Third conditional= imaginary consequences of something that did not happen in the past If (past perfect) + would/ could/ might have + past participle James didn’t hurt Meg on purpose. If he had hurt her on purpose, she wouldn’t have forgiven him I jumped back whem Alex shouted. If I hadn’t jumped back, the car would have hit me.

5. If you had told me, I would have done something. If I had studied a bit harder, I wouldn't have flunked. If we had saved some money, we would have bought a new computer.
