16 Reserve Margin Update ERCOT provided updated reserve margin scenarios at January Board Mtg. ERCOT provided same update at February TAC mtg. TAC created joint ROS/WMS task to review current TAC approved reserve margin calculation assumptions, including treatment of mothballed units Joint task force will report to TAC in March with findings PRR 573 filed “Definition and Treatment of Mothballed Units” –Defines mothballed unit –Defines retired unit –Requires semi-annual reporting on return to service date PRS approved urgent status and will discuss this week If PRR 573 is approved by PRS and TAC will come to Board in March If effective immediately, initial reporting will be due within 30 days TAC will review updated Reserve Margin calculation in May and determine whether or not a plan to address reserve margin in near term is necessary
