6 French and Indian War Definition A conflict btwn England and France in North America over trading rights Reasons The colonists were trading with the Indians and the French didn’t want to share their trade. England and France were already at war in Europe. Many colonists joined the British army to fight with their country Impact Results France lost all territory in North America New taxes are imposed on colonists to pay for war Proclamation Line divides Colonial territory from Indian land

7 BRITISH ACTS PROJECT Objective: ID the major British Acts/Laws that led to rising tension on the relationship btwn the British govt and the Colonists by creating a six part poster you will use to teach your peers in a future class Part 1: Name of your act/law and the year it was passed written at the top of you poster Part 2: Definition: Describe what the act/law is in your own words Part 3: Reason the act/law was imposed Part 4: Impact on the colonist: How did the colonists receive the act and how did it affect their lives? Part 5: Results/Effects of the act/law Part 6: An image representing the act/law either printed or hand drawn placed in the center of your poster. Each part should have a subtitle with a minimum of three bullets of information. Maximum of five bullets. Your poster should be neat and colorful. Check your spelling.
