Project Overview An remote controlled robot arm with 6 degree of freedom. It consists of two major component control sleeve and robot arm. Control sleeve is responsible for measuring the motion of the human arm. Robot arm will mimic the same motion. controlled robot arm with 6 degree of freedom. Project-Specific Success Criteria An ability to precisely control the position of the robotic arm which has six degrees of freedom An ability to sense and capture the motion of human (user’s) arm including grasp, rotations of wrist, elbow and shoulder. An ability to record and store the actions at least 60 seconds performed by robot arms for repeating the same actions in the future An ability to display degree of each motor and pressure on the gripper onto LCD An ability to encode and decode an control signals and send the signal through wireless module.

Environmental Impact Manufacturing ◦ Impact of Parts Normal Use ◦ Power Consumption ◦ Hazardous Exposures Disposal/Recycling ◦ Proper Disposal
5
Manufacturing Construction of PCBs ◦ Will be a major source of waste Construction of Individual Components ◦ Construction of Integrated Circuits
6
Normal Use Power Consumption ◦ Microcontrollers does have power manager Can go to sleep when CPU has nothing to do Micro: 1W when running (3.3V*15.17mA) ◦ Robot: 36W at most (6*6V*1A) Radiation ◦ From XBee very limited ◦ 1mW ◦ at least 20cm from nearby ◦ considered to be a mobile application Hazardous Exposures ◦ None We are not using any kind of batteries.
7
Disposal/Recycling Proper Disposal of Product ◦ Provide instructions to recycle product at electronics recycling center ◦ All electronic parts are hazardous to environment ◦ Some packing materials are plastic, not biodegradable
8
Ethical Injury ◦ Robot Arm would heart people. ◦ Control Sleeve is safe by its lower voltage. ◦ Will have warning label. ◦ Will have age limit.
