6. CD-R CD-R is an acronym for Compact Disc-Recordable. CD-R is a variation of the Compact Disc, invented by Phillips and Sony. The Capacity of a CD-R - Most CD-Rs on the market have an 80 minute capacity, there are also 90 minute and 99 minute discs, although they are less common.

7. CD-RW The Capacity of a CD-RW - Most CD-RWs on the market either have an 650 or 750 MB capacity. A CD-RW disc has been said to write and erase up to 1000 times! CD-RW is an acronym for Compact Disc-Re Writable. CD- RW is an rewritable optical disc format & was introduced in 1997.

Music CD  An MP3 CD is a compact disc (usually a CD-R or CD-RW) that contains digital audio in the MP3 file format.  Because of audio data compression, an MP3 CD does not have to spin all of the time, thereby saving battery power.
