Podcasting Ideas  Share what students have learned with their parents/grandparents.  Allow students to do audio book reports.  Encourage student performance (students will want to try harder to do their best if others will hear them or they will hear themselves.  Do a weekly podcast of school announcements to keep staff, parents and students aware of upcoming events: Spotlight students of the week or birthdays. Allow students to contribute news from their classrooms.  Create podcasts to introduce new resources and books that are available in the Media Center. Collaborative with teachers and students who could be a part of the podcasts. Different reading groups could help read a few pages of new books or talk about favorite books they have recently read to encourage other students to come check to the media center.
