Podcasting Ideas Share what students have learned with their parents/grandparents. Allow students to do audio book reports. Encourage student performance (students will want to try harder to do their best if others will hear them or they will hear themselves. Do a weekly podcast of school announcements to keep staff, parents and students aware of upcoming events: Spotlight students of the week or birthdays. Allow students to contribute news from their classrooms. Create podcasts to introduce new resources and books that are available in the Media Center. Collaborative with teachers and students who could be a part of the podcasts. Different reading groups could help read a few pages of new books or talk about favorite books they have recently read to encourage other students to come check to the media center.
