6 When to onboard A. As soon as possible after someone comes onboard, but preferably before the previous person “checks out” 1. If you know someone will be “checking out” before the new person is ready to be trained, try to glean as much knowledge and info from the departing person as possible before they leave (especially things like passwords and login credentials and assets) – 2. capture electronically via Google Docs When?
