Bow or Burn?
2
Nebuchadnezzar sets up a golden idol (v1) He requires everyone to bow down and worship it (v4,5) The punishment for not doing so was to be thrown into the fiery furnace (v6) “Certain Chaldeans” brought charges against Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego that they would not worship the idol (v8-9) When confronted, these young, godly men would not bow down to the statue (v16-18)

Because of their disobedience, the young men were thrown into the fiery furnace (v21) They were miraculously delivered (v26) Seeing this, Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged God, set up rules against blasphemy against Him, and gave favor to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (v28-29)
