Ming is a poor man that he hasn’t any money and friend. One day, when Ming was walking on the street, he found $10 in his pocket. But how can he use this $10? 1. Buy two draws of “Mark Six”. 2. Buy a draw for horse racing 3. Buy two cups of noodle

At last, Ming use $10 to buy a ticket for “Mark Six”. So the opportunity cost for buying the ticket of “Mark Six” is the ticket for horse racing. Because buy the ticket for horse racing is the higher value things forgone.

Ming won the second pries of “Mark Six”. He had $4,500,000 of the second pries. And also he was thinking about how to use this $4,500,000.He had three choices: 1. Send into bank 2. Have businesses (e.g. 7-11, store…) 3. Buy a house

Ming wanted to have his only business, so he set up an “11-7”(24hrs. department store). So the opportunity cost of setting up the “11-7” is send the money into bank. Because the higher value things forgone is send the money into bank, but not buy a house.
