2 People over 5’ 6” tall don’t need an education because all they will ever want to do is stay at home and do the housework. People with blond hair shouldn’t go to school because there’s not enough money for everyone to go to school and people with darker or ginger hair need an education more. People whose names begin with letters A – M shouldn’t get an education because when they get older they should look after their children. People who are good at athletics shouldn’t go to school because they’re not as intelligent as other people so an education will be wasted on them.

3 67 million children around the world don’t go to school. More than half of these are girls. Every extra year that a girl has in school: helps her to earn more (and escape poverty) keeps her safe from HIV/AIDS infection reduces the risk that she will die in pregnancy or her child in infancy.
