Current Design Approach – ERCOT.com / TML / MIS ERCOT.com will continue to exist as ERCOT’s public website. It will contain: Public information also required by protocols to be posted on MIS Other public information ERCOT chooses to post on its public website First-time MIS users can access MIS from ERCOT.com, where the system will check for a digital certificate. (Users may also set a bookmark to MIS.)
8
Lead from the Front 1/16/2016 Current Design Approach – ERCOT.com / TML / MIS MIS will require a digital certificate to access. Users can navigate to all public, secure and certified information (accessible to their role/company) from this portal. The home page is customizable. All information required by nodal protocols plus sections 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 19, 20 and 21 from current protocols will be accessible from MIS. MIS will also be used to launch all market- facing applications.
9
Lead from the Front 1/16/2016 Current Design Approach – ERCOT.com / TML / MIS TML will be run in parallel with MIS until all applications, services and information can be tested in MIS. TML will gradually be decommissioned as access through MIS is thoroughly tested. ERCOT will offer training to help transition from TML to MIS.
10
Current Design Approach – Public information on MIS ERCOT needs the flexibility to update ERCOT.com in response to business need, and may not have time to effect a PRR. MIS is limited to only that information required by protocols, including links to PUBLIC data. ERCOT.com will continue to be separate from MIS MIS will require a Digital Certificate Public, Secure and Certified information will be grouped by subject area Public information will reside in one place, and be accessed thru MIS or ERCOT.com
