How to have RSS feeds going directly into a folder in your Outlook
2
Go to the site of your choice. Does the site must display the RSS symbol? Have a look at the highlighted item on the lower right hand side on the picture below. Copy the URL-see the highlighted item on the upper left hand side of the picture.
3
Paste the URL into notepad or a word document. You will need this later in the process. Go to Outlook, click on Tools > Account Settings > RSS Feeds Tab Click on ‘New’, upper left hand side of the Account Settings window. A new window will pop up, asking you to enter the location of the RSS you want to add to Outlook
4
Add the URL from the site of your choice… And click on Add. Note that the software will select a folder in your Outlook eg: Personal Folders\RSS Feeds\The Ten Steps to Wealth Blog. You will see this on the next slide
5
So the first line which I have highlighted in the picture below, shows the destination folder. You can also select the way the emails will look when you open them. I selected the second option. Make sure you click OK and then close. So your folders on the left hand side of your Outlook margin will show the new folder…
6
Refer to the picture below. On the left hand side is the new folder ‘The Ten Steps to Wealth’, under the RSS Feeds folder. In the centre are the notifications of the feeds and on the right is the email preview pane.
