1 Tropical Rainforest By: Roberta Lobo P.6

2 Biotic Factors (Decomposers)
King Vulture (scavenger) (Sarcoramphus papa) Slime Mold (Dictyostelium Discoideum) Jelly Fungus (Tremella cf. fuciformis)

3 Biotic Factors (Producers)
Banana tree (Musa acuminata) Bamboo trees Coconut tree (cocos nucifers)

4 Biotic Factors (1st level consumers)
Monkeys (Platyrrhini) Parrots (Psittaciformes) Insects (Insecta)

5 Biotic Factors (2nd level consumers)
Fruit Bats (Pteropodidae) Red Eyed Tree Frog (Agakychnis Callidryas) Iguana (Iguana, Iguana)

6 Biotic Factors (Tertiary)
Python (Pythonidae) Jaguar (Panthera Onca)

7 Biotic Factors (top level consumers)
Humans (Homo sapiens)

8 Predator/Prey relationships
The Red Eyed Tree Frog preys on the Insects. The Jaguar preys on the Monkeys

9 Competition An example of competition is between the Jaguar and the Python because they are competing for prey since they are the tertiary and they are the ones who have a lot of chances of catching prey.

10 Symbiotic Relationships
Mutualism: An example of mutualism is between insects and jelly fungus, because ants actively create fungus and in return the fungus provides nutrients and shelter for the ant. Commensalism: An example of commensalism is between a parrot and a tree, because the parrot recieves shelter and protection, but the tree does not get anything in return but it is not harmed. Parasitism: An example of parasitism is a human and a mosquito. The humans are considered the “host” and the mosquitos are the “parasite”, because the mosquitos feed of the humans blood, but the humans are still harmed by the mosquito

Abiotic Factors Day length: 29 hours Year length: 365 days Precipitation: centimeters per year Temperature: 34-20C Sunlight: Few sunlight, because of the high trees Soil: It is somewhat wet and it has a lot of nutrients Temperature Sunlight Rocks Water
