Early Life Jimmy Carter was born on October 1,1924. His mother’s name was Lillian and his father’s name was Earl. He had two sisters Gloria, and Ruth. At age five he was selling boiled peanuts.

Life Before he was President Jimmy was the first member of his family to complete high school. He went to the college Georgia Southwest. Jimmy Carter’s wife name was Eleanor and they had four children.

Being President Jimmy Carter was the 39 th president. He took office January 20,1977 and left office January 20 1981. Jimmy served one term with Walter Mondale as a vice president. He was a Democrat.

Later Years After Jimmy Carter was president he and his wife helped an organization for helping build homes. He served as a professor at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and wrote more than 20 books.
