5 Exchange Program Selection criteria and weights 5 Academic record (GPAX)50% English language requirement (CU-Tep or equivalent; not older than 3 years): 25% Written statement of purpose cum self-assessment of ambassadorial qualities (500-word essay in English): 25%

6 Exchange Program Allocation of Slots (cont.) Faculty-and university-level slots: –Slots at top partner universities (required GPAX ≥ 3.50): EBA and BEcon students will be ranked according to their overall score and students with the highest scores will be selected –Other slots (required 2.80 ≤ GPAX < 3.50): 1st round: EBA students to be given priority with remaining slots to be allocated to BEcon students Clearing round: EBA and BEcon students will be ranked according to their overall score and students with the highest scores will be selected 6

7 Exchange Program Credit and grade transfer –Courses taken at the host institution must be equivalent to BEcon elective courses –Courses taken at the host institution must be approved by the Office of the Registrar, ideally prior to the exchange period  course equivalency to be established –Not more than 1/3 of total BEcon credits may be transferred from host institutions –Grades earned must be equivalent to CU grade “C” (or better). An "F" on the transcript received from the host institution -due to whatever reason- will lead to the student not being eligible to receive CU honours. 7

8 Course Equivalency Course equivalency forms can be downloaded from the Econ IAO website 8

9 Exchange Program Credit and grade transfer (cont.) –Grades earned at the host institution will not be included in the calculation of the GPAX (grades assigned: S or U) –After having studied at the host institution, students must complete at least one regular term at the home institution prior to graduation –Exchange students must inform the IAO without delay by email, should they have to change their course selection 9
