2 World is better informed than in 2000, but a lot more and better data is still needed Need to make use of new sources of data, but also better document those that is already Simply more data is not a panacea for better policies and improved accountability New technologies and new stakeholders should be approached with cautious optimism… Need to align much better global monitoring needs with strengthened national capacity and policy making Need to make the international statistical architecture work better

5 Focus on the data revolution in developing countries Concerned with the post-2015 agenda, but not the primary emphasis Needs to look at the interaction of the international statistical system with countries Should include analysis of political economy and institutional issues

6 Will be designed in two parts Broad desk review of up to 20 countries based on existing documentation and tools More detailed case studies in 3 to 5 countries Based on an dynamic analytical framework looking at gaps between supply and demand Should cover different domains Include analysis of political economy and institutional issues
