Graduation Requirements: English-4 credits Math-4 credits (1 year of Algebra, 1 year of Geometry) Science-3 credits (1 Physical Science, 1 Biology) Social Studies-3 credits (US History, National State, Local Government, Modern World History) Fine Art-1 credit PE-1 credit Regular Tech ed-1 credit (Foundations of Technology or Introduction to Engineering Design)

Graduation Requirements Health-.5 credit Completer program- 2 years of a foreign language OR 4 credits in one of the following: Restaurant Management Auto Tech Child Development Horticulture AOIT College/Career Research and Development 75 SSL hours Complete all state assessments (HSA/PARCC)

Testing Requirements By the end of junior year, all students must do at least 1 of the following: Take the SAT Take the ACT Take the Accuplacer exam Students who do not take the PSAT on October 14 th will take the Accuplacer exam! SAT II test-spring of junior year

Other testing information Practice ACT test will be given to all juniors on November 3. We will analyze results from the mock ACT and PSAT and will meet with each junior in late November and mid December to make testing recommendations DO NOT SIGN UP FOR ANY TESTING UNTIL YOUR COUNSELOR HAS MET WITH YOU! November 19: Parent/student Score back night- Catalyst will be here to explain and interpret your mockACT test results. Please encourage them to attend.

Upcoming events Catalyst SAT bootcamp: Sept. 26 and 27 ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery): October 30. Sign up on Naviance Individual junior meetings: late November-mid December College search (March 2015) College fair (April 2015)

National Honor Society requirements Minimum GPA: 3.50 GPA or 3.75 WGPA at the end of 1 st semester Like to see participation in volunteer activities Evidence of leadership qualities: Must write an essay explaining how you demonstrate this qualification. Character “in good standing.” No suspensions-if so, explain on application 12 hours of tutoring over the course of senior year Will be invited to apply in the spring of junior year Second induction available in the fall of senior year
